NOW HIRING: LEAD HAND
Howden Bros. is seeking an experienced and driven Lead Hand, who desires to continue their career in the concrete foundation trade. The Lead Hand works independently within a larger crew typically consisting of 4 to 8 workers and is subordinate to the working Foreman. The Lead Hand is responsible for keeping one or two labourers working efficiently.
Applicants are required to be proficient with the following skills:

reading structural drawings
-
basic construction layout
-
standing forms
-
tying steel reinforcement
-
building/installing troughs & bucks
-
pouring walls/grade-beams
-
towing trailers and securing loads
Individuals must also:
-
Provide a driver’s abstract upon request.
-
Provide a criminal record check upon request.
-
Be willing to work out of town for multiple weeks at a time.
-
Be capable of continuously hauling and standing concrete forms as needed.
-
Tolerant to working in adverse weather conditions.
-
Well rounded and capable of solving problems.
-
Abstain from drugs and excessive alcohol use.

Skid-steer operating

Material takeoffs

Total station work

Class 1 drivers license and/or picker truck experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Experience:

Foundation Cribbing: 3 years (preferred)
